Rev. Kathryn Schreiber MDiv
“Your soul knows the geography of your destiny. Your soul alone has the map of your future; therefore you can trust this indirect, oblique side of yourself. If you do, it will take you where you need to go, but more important, it will teach you a kindness of rhythm in your journey.” -- John O’Donohue, philosopher and writer
“The human soul doesn’t want to be advised or fixed or saved. It simply wants to be witnessed — to be seen, heard and companioned exactly as it is. When we make that kind of deep bow to the soul of a suffering person, our respect reinforces the soul’s healing resources.” -- Parker Palmer, writer and educator
For over 30 years Rev Kathryn Schreiber has accompanied people as they listen to their souls. She provides a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for people of various cultures and backgrounds to gain inner wisdom, deep healing, and integrity of being. She has worked with people in religious, health care, and organizational settings, often those in leadership positions. Rev Kathryn opens her heart to each person she meets.
She has yet to meet a stranger.
Rev. Kathryn is a graduate of University of Memphis (Bachelor of Liberal Studies), Pacific School of Religion (Master of Divinity), Clinical Pastoral Education (Summit/Alta Bates), Transitional Ministry Training (Ghost Ranch, Zephyr Point) and has studied with many contemplative practice teachers (Christian and Buddhist). For decades, she’s been in solidarity with the LGBTQI community, indigenous peoples, and API justice efforts. She is Lead Minister of First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ in Martinez, as well as a fiber artist, lover of wild beaches, and occasional writer.

Rev. Kathryn serves on the Northern California-Nevada Conference of the United Church of Christ’s Committee on Ministry, Contra Costa County’s Suicide Prevention Committee, and hosts a monthly ecumenical clergy group.
